HT series
High temperature extensometer

- Ideal for high-temperature applications
- Measurement up to 1800°C
- Highly accurate and reliable
Description
The HT is a professional optical extensometer optimized for high-temperature applications, accurately functioning in environments from ambient up to 1800°C.
It utilizes the user-friendly Alpha DIC® software, enhancing ease of use for both experiments and data acquisition. Ideal for elevated temperature materials testing, the HT also excels in any scenario requiring precise, accurate measurements over a small field of view, including but not limited to furnace-based applications.

AirLock optical tunnel /furnace tunnel
“Seals the gap between system and furnace to minimize turbulence”
Hot-air turbulence occurs when temperature gradients between the furnace and ambient air create convective flow; the resulting density and refractive-index fluctuations distort the optical path, causing image waviness and apparent motion which is measured as fake strain. In high-temperature measurements this increases noise, reduces correlation quality, and lowers accuracy and repeatability—especially close to the furnace opening. Our AirLock tunnel forms a controlled air corridor between the system and the furnace, suppressing convection, thus minimizing heat shimmer and stabilizing the image for cleaner, more reliable data.
