X-Sight DIC high speed
MEASURING SYSTEM
3D DIC HIGH SPEED
2D DIC HIGH SPEED
HIGH SPEED OPTICAL MEASUREMENT

SUPPORTED HIGH-SPEED CAMERAS:

- Simple measurement of high-speed dynamic events
- Configuration for impact and dynamic testing
- The high-speed camera integration in Alpha DIC SW without additional licensing
Description
The X-Sight 3D DIC High Speed system combines high-speed imaging with Alpha DIC software, enabling complex optical analysis of highly dynamic events. Using high-speed cameras and digital image correlation, the system captures how materials and components behave under dynamic loading.
This makes it ideal for impact and crash testing, fracture analysis, vibration testing and dynamic material characterisation, as it provides an accurate measurement of displacement, surface strain, velocity and acceleration.
High-speed camera control and acquisition are integrated as an essential part of Alpha DIC software through the Alpha DIC HS Recorder.
Alpha DIC provides a dedicated workflow for high-speed DIC measurements and supports various high-speed cameras from multiple manufacturers.

Specification
Alpha DIC supports the integration of various high-speed camera systems, enabling customers to utilise their existing camera hardware for DIC measurements.
Camera families that are currently implemented and tested include:
| Manufacturer | Camera family | Model* |
|---|---|---|
| NAC | MEMRECAM ACS | ACS-1, ACS-3 |
| Photron | FASTCAM | FASTCAM NOVA S6, FASTCAM NOVA S9, FASTCAM NOVA S12, FASTCAM NOVA S16 |
| Phantom | VEO series | VEO-E 310L, VEO-E 340L, VEO 1310, VEO 440, VEO 640 |

HS Recorder
The Alpha DIC HS Recorder incorporates high-speed camera acquisition into the Alpha DIC workflow. It provides a fully integrated environment for controlling the camera, recording data, and selecting sequences. It quickly prepares the captured data for subsequent full-field DIC analysis.
