AirLock optical tunnel /furnace tunnel

“Seals the gap between system and furnace to minimize turbulence”
Hot-air turbulence occurs when temperature gradients between the furnace and ambient air create convective flow; the resulting density and refractive-index fluctuations distort the optical path, causing image waviness and apparent motion which is measured as fake strain. In high-temperature measurements this increases noise, reduces correlation quality, and lowers accuracy and repeatability—especially close to the furnace opening. Our AirLock tunnel forms a controlled air corridor between the system and the furnace, suppressing convection, thus minimizing heat shimmer and stabilizing the image for cleaner, more reliable data.
