PROJECT OVERVIEW

This project focuses on the development, production, and testing of a prototype integrated electronics system for X-Sight optical video extensometers.

The objective is to develop a compact communication and control unit enabling fully automated operation of optical extensometers. The resulting prototype integrates multiple hardware functions into a single industrial-grade PCB, replacing the current architecture based on several external peripheral devices.

The integrated electronics will provide synchronized camera control, accessory switching (lighting and lasers), conversion of deformation data into standard analog and pulse outputs, and unified hardware license management. The solution simplifies installation, improves system reliability, and creates a robust platform for future generations of X-Sight optical extensometers.
