Description
The X-Sight Optical Extensometer Software Kit includes the Axial module of X-Sight Alpha DIC software with four essential measuring probes:
These tools enable real-time measurement of displacement, elongation, and axial strain, with automatic necking detection for reliable tensile testing.
Built on the modular Alpha DIC platform, the software can be expanded at any time with additional measurement modules as your testing requirements evolve.
Typical Hardware Configurations
The Optical Extensometer Software Kit can be configured using standard industrial cameras, lenses, and lighting. The camera can be mounted directly to the testing machine using a mounting arm or positioned independently on a tripod. Both configurations support integration with the testing machine and external devices through digital I/O communication.
Everything you need to start measuring
The Software Kit includes all essential software, licensing, and calibration tools required to build a custom optical extensometer. The package contains the Alpha DIC AX software license, USB security dongle, calibration grids, installation media, and setup documentation to help users select suitable cameras, lenses, and lighting for their application.
