Description

The X-Sight ST is a compact, semi-telecentric optical extensometer engineered for high-precision strain and displacement measurements on small specimens — even in extreme testing environments. Its adjustable telecentric optics deliver exceptional measurement stability while allowing the field of view and working distance to be tailored to the application.

A high-resolution industrial camera, low-distortion optical path and monochromatic green illumination work together to produce clean, high-contrast images with micron-level accuracy. With optional high-temperature filters, the ST remains fully operational up to 1800 °C, suppressing specimen glow for crystal-clear results in demanding thermal conditions.

The lightweight design, integrated illumination module and robust mounting options enable fast setup on virtually any testing machine. Combined with seamless software integration through X-Sight Alpha DIC — including real-time data streaming, external triggering and flexible communication protocols — the ST provides a reliable solution for advanced material testing workflows.
