High-precision optical measurement for non-contact deformation analysis
Turning images into accurate, reliable data for engineering and research

FROM PIXELS
TO DISPLACEMENT
Optical measurement is changing how engineers understand material behavior.
Instead of relying on physical sensors, we use advanced imaging and algorithms to capture deformation — without contact and without influence.
At X-Sight, we turn visual data into precise, reliable measurement.
From microscopic experiments to large-scale structures, our systems deliver insight where traditional methods reach their limits.

Designed and built in the Czech Republic, Europe
We design, develop, and manufacture our systems in-house in the Czech Republic — at the heart of Europe.
From hardware to software, everything is created by our own team, ensuring full control, precision, and reliability.
- In-house R&D and production
- End-to-end development — from concept to final system
- Direct support from our engineers
- No outsourcing. No compromises.

OUR STORY
The idea begins
We wanted to build a company focused on practical and accessible measurement solutions.
A gap in the market
We identified a gap in extensometry solutions. Large players focused on complex systems, while smaller customers were often underserved.
Our goal was to develop a universal, user-friendly system that could adapt to a wide range of applications.
This became the foundation of X-Sight.
From idea to company
X-Sight was officially founded by Petr Gajdoš and Jan Čepela — combining vision with hands-on development.
Petr Gajdoš shaped the concept and direction of the company, while Jan Čepela built the software foundations.
Shortly after, Roman Salzburger joined to lead business development, and Petr Stolař strengthened the technical team.
What started as an idea quickly evolved into a focused effort to build a practical and accessible measurement solution.
First industry adoption
Our solution gained traction with early partners such as Labortech and Hegewald & Peschke, who were looking for exactly this type of system.
The positive feedback quickly turned into deeper collaboration, with partners expressing interest in OEM integration — a strong validation of the technology.
This momentum accelerated further development. At the same time, Michal Vajdák joined to lead research and development, strengthening the company’s technical direction.
Modular platform growth
Through continuous development, the system evolved into a versatile platform covering both extensometry and DIC applications.
Its modular architecture enabled flexible configurations tailored to different use cases — from industrial environments to research applications.
This approach opened the door to a wide range of new use cases, including microscopy, outdoor structural monitoring, and residual stress analysis.
Breakthrough and global expansion
What started as an ambitious idea evolved into a unique and mature technology attracting attention from major industry players.
This marked a turning point for X-Sight, accelerating its transition from a growing company into a globally expanding technology provider.
Global presence
As part of its internationalization strategy, X-Sight successfully entered the U.S. market and expanded its global footprint.
Today, the company is supported by a network of partners and distributors worldwide.
What’s next?
X-Sight is focused on scaling its technology globally while continuing to expand into new applications and industries.
The goal remains the same — to make precise, non-contact measurement more accessible, flexible, and widely adopted.
